Weirton Steel Technical Service and Claims Department offers a wide variety of services. Whether on-site, or in our comprehensive facilities -- our technical support team is staffed by professionals with a diverse range of metallurgical and chemical backgrounds, and decades of mill experience. One phone call to the Technical Service Department will start the wheels in motion. We'll come to your plant, observe your operations and find the cause of the problem. It could be our steel. It could be your press. From there we coordinate the support you need from mill operations, Analytical Services, WEIRTEC® -- whatever it takes to get you up and running again. If the problem isn't obvious, our Analytical Services department can help determine where the problem is. Some case studies help to illustrate how this aspect of our Technical Services support system can work for you. Beyond that, our technical development engineers travel across the country and overseas troubleshooting for our customers. In addition, we have six technical service representatives -- located in Weirton, Cincinnati, Chicago and South Carolina -- who make routine visits to customer sites. These help prevent emergencies.
