Weirton’s full line of coated sheet steel products meet the toughest standards in
corrosion resistance, ductility and formability.
Weirton’s specialty: manufacturing narrower sheet for a wider
variety of applications. All of our galvanized steel, except for electrolytic sheet, is
available up to 48 inches wide.
Weirkote.® Tough corrosion protection.
Weirkote, Weirton’s hot-dipped galvanized sheet steel, provides excellent rust
protection in many corrosive environments. Weirton’s best value in formability,
strength, and corrosion protection.
Weirkote Plus.® For performance that goes beyond
ordinary galvanized.
Weirkote Plus, Weirton’s Galfan-coated sheet steel, is our top of the
line galvanized. The Galfan alloy coating combines 95% zinc and 5% aluminum/mischmetal for
exceptional corrosion protection and formability.
Galvanneal. Paintability and weldability that's tough
to match.
Galvanneal is a carbon steel sheet with a fully alloyed iron-zinc coating
on both sides. The non-spangle matte finish provides an excellent surface for painting
while the iron in the alloy improves weldability.
Weirzin®. High performance zinc coating.
Weirzin, Weirton’s electrogalvanized sheet steel, is
made in a carefully controlled process where zinc is electrolytically applied to both
sides of a steel sheet. Weirzin’s zinc coating adheres so tightly to the steel that
it is ideal for critical operations in crimping, roll-forming, piercing and deep-drawing.
