Weirton Steel’s cold-rolled product line is available in a number of finishes, gauges and tempers which meet the most critical specifications for flatness, surface quality and gauge and shape control.

Weirton specializes in light-gauge -- gauges from .014 inch to .028 inch (.35 mm - .71 mm.)

Weirton also produces heavy-gauge steel. While most producers are limited to gauges up to .067 inch (1.7 mm) Weirton can produce heavy-gauge cold-rolled steel up to .125 inch (3.18 mm).

Weirton Steel cold-rolled steel is all Class One for surface quality -- the finest quality available. That means uniformity roll-end to roll-end for texture, cleanliness and flatness.

Our cold-rolled steel is ideal for a range of applications.  For products which are stamped, drawn or roll-formed -- both painted and bare. You’ll find Weirton cold-rolled steel in tubing, drums, welding wire, panels, tractor and lawn mower parts, residential and commercial door frames and much more.

Weirton cold-rolled steel is available in the following tempers:

Temper Rockwell B-Scale Hardness
Intermediate Commercial quality with a 15-point Rockwell Range
Quarter-Hard B-60 to B-75 maximum
Full Hard Minimum of B-84
